The Stark County Prosecutors’s Office has received reports of members of the Stark County Community being targeted by a phone scam. A male caller is alerting individual that they, or a member of their family, is guilty of writing a bad check and is demanding immediate payment to rectify the fictitious check. The Stark County Prosecutor's Office will never call and request a payment of any kind. If you receive a call of this kind, do not give them any of your personal or financial information.
