📌 Do some logic puzzles, brain teasers and riddles to train your brain. Or you can head over to the Trivia Page for some brain exercises!
Other fun ways to train your brain include:
📌 Download a brain training app. These technologies offer a variety ways to test your brain.
📌 Mix up your routine. If you always do a crossword puzzle, try a different type of word game or number puzzle.
📌 Expand your interests. Take a cooking class or music lessons. Both will help improve your brain as you learn new skills.
📌 Take a different route to the grocery store or to work. You may discover changes to your neighborhood but you’ll also be giving your brain an opportunity to shake out some of the rust.

Benefits of Outdoor Play:
Why is playing outside so good for us?
Besides getting us off the sofa or away from the desk, it also gives us an opportunity to explore our neighborhoods. While it’s impossible to list all the benefits of outdoor play, we do have a few to share.
Playing outdoors is a freeing activity. It frees us from routines, enclosed spaces and frames of mind.
The outdoors fills us with energy. Whether it’s the fresh air, sunshine or physical activity, we perk up and become motivated to accomplish things.
It clears the cobwebs from our brains. We sometimes get stuck on a topic, project or issue and are unable to resolve it. A change of scene often brings clarity we didn’t have before.
Outdoor play provides terrific physical activity for our bodies. Our hearts pump fresh oxygen to our limbs and brains.
We experience new sights and sounds. Children get to experience the world around them.
As a social activity, playing outside encourages positive interactions.
When you play outside every month, it becomes habit-forming – and this one good habit to have!
It stimulates the imagination. Outdoor play has almost no boundaries. Your yard can be a kingdom or the playground can be a mountain to scale.
We’ve only scratched the surface of the benefits of outdoor play. There are so many more! So, be sure to get outside with the family on the first Saturday of every month – or even more often than that!

Project SEARCH-Menomonie
February 25 at 9:27 PM ·
Everyone, meet Carter! One of our wonderful interns this year. Carter just finished his S.M.A.R.T. goal for rotation #2. Read his introduction below!
"My name is Carter and I am in the Project Search program where students are provided real-life work experience as well as training, employment, and life skills. I am currently at the Career Development Center for Project Search to go through three different rotations of job training. My first rotation was in the front office. There I opened and sorted mail, deposited checks, worked on my typing skills, scanned credit cards, and made and transferred calls. On my first transition week, we had a guest author named Ms. Jeanne. We also toured around Donut Sam’s and had Culvers ice cream. My current rotation is the print shop where I screenprint, embroider, make buttons, and even got to design an Arthur T-shirt for the staff to wear. Finally, I will start my third rotation at upholstery, where they upholster furniture for personal and industrial use. There I plan to make designs, and repair furniture."
