Our St. Paul care center has made some changes for curbside pickup. The owners of our building are repaving the parking lot and we currently have four dedicated spots in the front of our care center.
We have a few important tips to ensure your transaction goes smoothly and quickly!
1 - It is vitally important to have your patient self-evaluation survey done before arriving at the care center. Not having this completed will create delays for you and other patients.
2 - Modifying your order when you arrive will create delays for you and other patients. Please do your best to confirm that your order is correct on the phone or when placing an online order.
3 - Please arrive at the care center as close to your scheduled time as possible. Visiting us too far before or after your scheduled time will cause delays for you and our other patients.

Important Changes to Curbside Pickup in St. Paul
Leafline Labs patients! Beginning Monday September 21, 2020 our St. Paul care center will be making some changes for curbside pickup. The owners of our building are repaving the parking lot beginning Monday.
We will have dedicated spots for patients to pull up to instead of the current roundabout option. Having dedicated spots during construction will help keep the flow of patient order pickups.
With this change it is very important to arrive at the care center as close to your scheduled time as possible. Visiting us too far before or after your scheduled time will cause delays for you and our other patients.

The cannabis plants in this photo are called "mother plants."
To ensure genetic constancy in the production of our cannabis plants, we utilize an asexual propagation method called stem cuttings. The cuttings are genetic clones of our cannabis mothers (female stock plants).
The mother plants are cared for until they are ready for cuttings to be selected from them. Maintaining the health of the mother plants is of utmost importance since we want to ensure the cuttings grow to become healthy and productive plants.

The Office of Medical Cannabis is accepting public written comments on three new potential qualifying medical conditions for the medical cannabis program. They have extended the deadline to submit comments until noon on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020.
The potential qualifying conditions under consideration are;

- Sickle cell disease
- Tic disorder

During the mid-flower stage of the plant’s life cycle, as seen in the photo, the flowering sites increase in size. The female plants continue to produce flowers in the hope that pollen will land on the flowers and fertilize them.
Since the cannabis plants grown at Leafline are cultivated in the absence of pollen, they use their energy to continue to produce flowers, trichomes, and cannabinoids instead of seeds.

"Bud” is a commonly used term referring to cannabis flower, but it actually refers to a single cluster of female flowers on the cannabis plant. Each cluster can contain dozens of individual female flowers.
Botanically, this structure is called a compound raceme inflorescence. Cannabis oils containing THC, CBD, terpenes, and other cannabinoids are produced in trichomes on the flowers as well as on the surrounding leaves.
Our lab team extracts these oils from the plants and formulates them into the medication dispensed at our Care Centers.

We have a new vape cartridge package that we will begin using this week! The packaging is a small plastic tube that is very portable and recyclable.
The tubes require pressure on both sides of the top to open. This lid prevents accidental opening. We will still have some of our previous cardboard packaging that will be used until they are gone.

Cultivation Friday is here! Today we are looking into leaves and the vital role they play!
Plants are autotrophs, meaning they are organisms that produce their own food. The cannabis plant is no different.
The food production occurs through the process of photosynthesis taking place primarily within the leaves. The leaves collect carbon dioxide (CO2) and the energy from light (sun or horticultural lighting).
The roots uptake water. A series of chemical reactions occur within the plant cells utilizing these three inputs: CO2, energy from light, and water. The result of the photosynthetic process is sugars for plant use (plant food) and oxygen.
