Congratulations to the Texas Tech Student Associated General Contractors of America Chapter for placing first in the Commercial Building Division in the 2020 TEXO/ASC Region 5 Student Competition!
The team was given 16 hours to respond to a mock RFP, including a complete GMP and proposal. They were graded on how accurate they were in their estimate and schedule by the GC who actually built the job! Ten university teams were at the event.
Nolan Zuber, Tyler Briney, Kolton Piercy and Jacob Deges (not pictured) are current LLCI interns and are four of the seven members of the champion team! Congratulations, gentlemen . . . we are so proud of you!

Andrews Distributing Company opened their newest 500,000 square-foot distribution center in Fort Worth this year. The center contains 46 loading docks and was built to hold and sustain 30% more product than initially needed, positioning Andrews for decades of growth. 1 billion cans of beer can fill the distribution center from floor to ceiling. Designed by Magee Architects and built by Lee Lewis Construction, this cutting-edge facility has earned a Silver LEED AP certification. Solar panels, installed by Axium Solar, cover approximately 65% of the building, saving more than a megawatt of energy annually.
We are so excited to work with Martinez Architects and the City of Plainview, TX - Government on the construction of their new fire station and police station relocation! #BuildingTrust
