Lekhraj Patel, MD, joined Northwell Health in 2017 after over 17 years in practice.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree at the M.S. University of Baroda in Gujarat, India. He completed internal medicine residency at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center and then completed both his neurology residency and vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
Dr. Patel’s research interests include vitamin intervention for stroke prevention and warfarin and aspirin for symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis. He is a member of both the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association.
