Utilizing his unique personal & professional experiences, Jim Leligdon offers motivational speaking, wedding ministry, & mobility consulting services.
Jim Leligdon was born blind, and with only some of his sight surgically restored, through the support of family and friends, he has discovered that one can be blessed and have a positive attitude, even in the face of physical adversity.
Jim grew up in Illinois, and for the first two years of his schooling, he attended a special school. When he asked for the opportunity to attend school with his twin brother, he helped to change the way special education worked in their district. Jim graduated from Bradley University with a double major in Radio/Television Production and Creative Advertising.
After working as a stage announcer, radio personality, computer programmer, and technical support analyst, Jim discovered the role of corporate trainer, a job he has enjoyed for over 20 years now.
He lives in Phoenix with his wife Barb and their children Courtney and Nick. Jim enjoys traveling and has motivated and facilitated on four continents. His experiences have taught him many things about his own physical challenges while enhancing his "can do" attitude.
Jim appreciates the opportunities he has had speaking to groups of blind students or adults, parents of children with disabilities, special education teachers, and even corporate audiences. He shares his life experiences and answers audience questions along the way.
Jim hopes to motivate and inspire individuals who face some type of physical or emotional challenge, have a family member or a coworker with a disability, or even those who just need a push in a positive direction. Jim believes, "We all have some type of perceived limitation. Examining and understanding it is the key to success".
