First of all, we are chiropractors and that is our specialty. Therefore we provide spinal realignments using skillful adjusting techniques to fit the needs of our varied patient population. We also have a variety of additional services which either assist the realignment issues or that are related to addressing the many other health issues people come to see us for. You are invited to call us and discuss your personal needs anytime.
We provide full-spine, gentle chiropractic adjusting using one or a combination of techniques. Both doctors are Advanced Proficiency Rated in Activator technique. (http://www.activator.com ) While many of our patients prefer this technique to manually applied adjusting techniques, both are completely safe, gentle, and effective because of our great care and sensitivity to our patient’s needs. We have provided care for every size and every age of person over the years of our practice.
Similar to AK, (applied kinesiology) we use a system of body response testing using leg length change to help determine the need for the adjustment at any given area (level of the spine or for an extremity such as ribs, shoulders, knees, and feet). We may also choose to use other techniques depending on an individual’s needs or preferences. We receive many appreciative comments from our patients regarding our gentle adjusting style!
Referrals
We work closely with medical doctors when referrals and/or co-management are appropriate. These doctors have found firsthand what years of research has proven: that chiropractic care is often the most effective first line of treatment for neck and back pain as well as a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
Non-Spinal Conditions
We also treat extremity conditions such as plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tempromandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, tendonitis of any joint, hip pain, knee pain, and many more. Please call us to inquire about your needs.
For a discussion about our Meridian Stress Assessment (aka electrodermal screening) please go to our Stress Assessment page. Here you will learn about our testing and treatment of allergies, toxicity, parasite cleansing and more.
Therapies
Our treatments include the use of advanced hands-on soft tissue/ muscle and fascial techniques to address those components of the condition as well.
These soft tissue techniques are commonly known as:
neuromuscular therapy
myofascial release therapy
active release therapy
trigger point therapy
Our typical session is about 30 minutes long and may include instruction in personal care on topics such as posture, stretching and strengthening, and nutritional aspects of health as they pertain to your condition.
On occasion we will suggest the use of an additional therapy such as infrasound wave therapy, (http://soundvitality.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=79), or electromuscle stimulation. Heat and cold therapies and their appropriateness is always discussed and assigned for home use if needed.
Unless you have specific nutritional issues which are beyond what we can provide during an average session, nutritional consultation services are usually provided during your chiropractic visit at no additional charge.
Please see the Patient Testimonials provided as proof that we are not your average health care providers or chiropractors. We treat you only as we would want ourselves and our families to be treated.
So, whether you have been in a motor vehicle accident, sports accident, slip and fall, or lifting incident, have new or old injuries, or just want to see if you can feel better, give us a call!
