UPDATE on Fayth’s fight against cancer!!!
Fayth was discharged from Moffitt Cancer Center on Saturday after having received five days of chemotherapy. Much to our relief she has so far done very well with minimal nausea, some appetite and a wonderful attitude!! Of course she is on round the clock anti-nausea medication along with other post chemo medications. She gets off for two weeks before she has to go back in for her second round of chemotherapy on September 15. In the meantime she is resting, walking and being well fed by Shannon who is preparing highly nutritious meals and snacks for her every day. She has been a trooper about preparing for a hair replacement wig which will become necessary in the coming weeks. And most importantly she is my hero as I can only imagine what she is having to deal with emotionally, physically and spiritually through this process but she has impressed me tremendously with her overall positive spirit and can-do attitude!!!
It is with these comments that her mom and I and Fayth want to thank each and every person who has reached out in support, in prayer, with cards and donations to her go fund me account.. We have truly been overwhelmed by all the support and encouraging words and prayers!
Many people have asked to be able to send her old-fashion handwritten cards of encouragement so I want to post this address for anyone who would like to mail something for Fayth. This is my office address but I am going back-and-forth every week so I will hand-deliver the cards to her personally.. I know it will mean a lot to her!
