The Punctato Butterflyfish is known as the Dot and Dash Butterflyfish or the Spotband Butterflyfish. It has a gold-tan body with slanted black stripes that start at the dorsal fin and gradually become dots towards the center of the body. There is an orange band at the tail fin and a black spot at the forehead.
The Punctato Butterflyfish has a very small mouth and feeds on corals in the wild but will accept a variety of foods when housed in an aquarium without a reef environment. The Punctato Butterflyfish can be kept in small groups and with other butterflyfishes if introduced simultaneously. Will nip at coral and invertebrates and not recommended for a reef tank.
To initiate feeding, offer a variety of small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and cyclopeeze.
Diana's hogfish, Bodianus diana, is a species of wrasse native to the Indian Ocean from the African coast to the Nicobars and the Cocos-Keeling Islands. Diana's hogfish feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates such as mollusks and crustaceans. Juveniles are known to remove parasites from other fishes.
