You now have 24 weeks to spend your funds, up from eight weeks
You need to spend 60% of the loan on payroll, down from 75%.
The covered period of the loan now ends Dec. 31 instead of June 30.

The 2020 Unemployment bill waives federal taxes on an individual’s first $10,200 of unemployment for those who made less than $150,000.00 in adjusted gross income in 2020.
What if you filed your 2020 Return already?
o Your preparer is going through their clients who have already filed who had unemployment compensation and will be contacting you to discuss amending your 2020 return. Amendments will be happening in May.
Have not filed your 2020 Return?
o We have held off on filing your 2020 return until we receive further instruction from the IRS on how to file, and what needs to be done to follow the new tax bill to file appropriately. Your tax preparer will reach out to you with further information.

The Senate has now approved the Paycheck Protection Program be Extend Until May 31! The extension bill will now be sent to President Biden’s desk for signature. Please contact our office if you need assistance with filing for your PPP Loan.
