Dr. Lin received her bachelor and master of science degrees in cellular and molecular biology from Johns Hopkins University. She earned her medical degree from UCSF, and then completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She subsequently completed her fellowship training in gastroenterology at UCLA. During her fellowship, she completed an American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society clinical training program in gastrointestinal motility and neurogastroenterology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Lin practices general gastroenterology, including esophageal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer screening. She has particular interests in gastrointestinal motility disorders, pelvic floor disorders (including chronic constipation and fecal incontinence), and functional gastrointestinal disorders (including irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia). She speaks both English and Mandarin and is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
