This year, I’m preparing nam khao for my family’s Super Bowl snacks! Find the recipe below!
NAM KHAO -
1 pound of Thai Sausage -cut into ½ pieces
6-8 oz Thai ham- diced
3 rice balls
¼ of round onion diced
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 tbsp. of fish sauce (three crabs brand)
¼ cup of diced green onions
1 lime
Two hearts of romaine lettuce leaves (washed and dried)
Sauté Onion, garlic, sausage and ham until brown. Break rice balls in half and add to stir fried meat. Add fish sauce to mixture. Continue to cook until rice is crisped. Prior to serving, stir in green onions and squeeze juice from a quarter of lime. Then serve with lime wedges and cleaned romaine lettuce.
Rice balls:
3 cups of cooked rice
½ can of coconut milk
3 tbsp. of Red Curry paste
1 Kafir lime leaf
1 lime
2 tbsp. of fish sauce (three crabs brand)
Mix all ingredients together. Form a patty and air fry until outside is crispy.
