Wearing a face mask is one of the most important things we can all do to help prevent the spread of COVID19.

Children over the age of two with asthma can wear a mask too!

Your child should be able to breathe through a mask easily, even if they have asthma.

Wearing a mask has the added benefit of helping to block out asthma triggers, such as pollen and other viruses.

If your child has difficulty breathing through a mask, please call our office to make an appointment to discuss what we can do to improve their asthma.

In 1948, she was the first Black student to attend desegregated classes in the south when she became the first Black student at the University of Arkansas Medical School. She went on to become the first Black student to graduate from medical school in Arkansas and then later, was the first female president of the National Medical Association. She went on to practice medicine in her hometown of Hot Springs, AR and then later in Houston, TX.
