It's our goal to provide a positive, rich and stimulating environment that considers each child's overall development, with a balance of structured and self directed activities. Our teachers serve as facilitators of learning by providing a broad variety of experiences and materials to enable children ample opportunity to interact with their surroundings. Our teachers understand that children develop at different paces and within any classroom there is a wide variety of maturation levels represented. Therefore, we seek to individualize our instruction and show respect for the child's self worth and capabilities. Our classrooms are organized into learning centers where children can exercise skills, pursue topics of special interest, and precede at their own pace. In addition, children learn sharing, cooperation, and other social skills while intermingling within the centers. Teachers bring the children together several times during the day for circle times that may involve story time, large muscle activities, music, Spanish, and Bible story activities. Most important, we understand that in order for children to learn, observe, create, and evaluate, "play" is the best way for children to accomplish these goals. We understand that our center is only as good as the teachers we employ. Therefore we strive to hire qualified, caring professionals. We understand the secure feeling a child will have in seeing the same teacher every day. We expect and encourage our teachers to pursue their education. All teachers participate in a continuous program of in-service education. We value the children in our care, we value our competent professional employees, and we value you the parent. We believe parents should be respected, valued and treated with an honest, open approach. We will keep you informed of school news through newsletters, a calendar of scheduled activities, and teacher to parent spoken communication.
