About

It's our goal to provide a positive, rich and stimulating environment that considers each child's overall development, with a balance of structured and self directed activities. Our teachers serve as facilitators of learning by providing a broad variety of experiences and materials to enable children ample opportunity to interact with their surroundings. Our teachers understand that children develop at different paces and within any classroom there is a wide variety of maturation levels represented. Therefore, we seek to individualize our instruction and show respect for the child's self worth and capabilities. Our classrooms are organized into learning centers where children can exercise skills, pursue topics of special interest, and precede at their own pace. In addition, children learn sharing, cooperation, and other social skills while intermingling within the centers. Teachers bring the children together several times during the day for circle times that may involve story time, large muscle activities, music, Spanish, and Bible story activities. Most important, we understand that in order for children to learn, observe, create, and evaluate, "play" is the best way for children to accomplish these goals. We understand that our center is only as good as the teachers we employ. Therefore we strive to hire qualified, caring professionals. We understand the secure feeling a child will have in seeing the same teacher every day. We expect and encourage our teachers to pursue their education. All teachers participate in a continuous program of in-service education. We value the children in our care, we value our competent professional employees, and we value you the parent. We believe parents should be respected, valued and treated with an honest, open approach. We will keep you informed of school news through newsletters, a calendar of scheduled activities, and teacher to parent spoken communication.

One of the first big decisions parents will have to make with a new baby is whether or not to place the baby in day care so both parents can continue to work. For some parents, a second income is necessary, so day care must be utilized.
What is the recommended population in a daycare? Ideally, it should have a low teacher to child ratio. This is especially true when the children in a class are younger because they require more attention and care.
It’s important to remember how irrationally jealous young children can become of the new baby in the house. Sending your infant to us even a few days a week can provide the focused time necessary for you to spend with your other children.

Day care centers often will have large stocks of equipment and supplies so that kids have plenty of play time and learning choices. That can help to develop your child both cognitively and creatively, at an age when experts say play time is important for the fully rounded development of young children.
Speech and language problems are the most common types of developmental delay in children. Speech pertains to verbal expression while language encompasses the expressing and arranging of information.
Day care centers never run out of activities to teach kids the value of kindness. Activities like writing letters to parents, opening the door for another person, or sharing lunch with a friend teach children about kindness.
According to a 2016 university study, children who attend daycare at a young age have, by the age of 5, noticeably stronger math and reading scores than children who are educated at home by a parent.

Some kids are nervous about going to day care. It is important that parents or guardians slowly introduce the child to the new learning environment.
If possible, you should visit the day care with your child before they start going. This can make the transition to day care a smooth process.
