Often times, patients experiencing thyroid issues are given a prescription and sent on their way - problem solved. (NOT!) MY approach is MUCH more thorough. I work to SUPPORT healthy thyroid function rather than just replacing what's missing. Depending on the case, I use supplements, hydrotherapy, and other methods to help enhance thyroid function. I want you to feel your best and get back to life without the fatigue and stress of thyroid issues. Call me today at (406) 996-1223 to begin your path to better health.

STOP living life according to the rigid plans you have for yourself! Here are 6 mindfulness tricks to help you LIVE IN THE PRESENT: 1. Use your senses to help you. Notice what you smell, see, feel, and hear. 2. Set a timer in the morning for 5-15 minutes and take deep breaths until the timer goes off. 3. Notice what you are grateful for and write it down. 4. Limit your screen time and spend 15-30 minutes writing, drawing, or listening to calming music. 5. Eat meals away from news and work. Spend mealtime with loved ones. 6. Remind yourself that you are in control of the decisions you make. Practice these tips throughout the day and whenever your mind seems to be racing out of control. And the next time you’re out camping, you may find yourself caught up in the sounds of the birds and creatures instead of the list of things you have to get done.

What exactly is leaky gut? Inside our bellies, we have an extensive intestinal lining covering more than 4,000 square feet of surface area. When working properly, it forms a tight barrier that controls what gets absorbed into the bloodstream. An unhealthy gut lining may have large cracks or holes, allowing partially digested food, toxins, and bugs to penetrate the tissues beneath it. This may trigger inflammation and changes in the gut flora (normal bacteria) that could lead to problems within the digestive tract and beyond. The research world is booming today with studies showing that modifications in the intestinal bacteria and inflammation may play a role in the development of several common chronic diseases. Have questions? I'd love to answer them! Get in touch at lizcavinnaturopath.com

The foods and beverages you consume affect how your digestive system operates and can disrupt the balance of the good and bad bacteria found in your gut. Whenever possible, avoid processed foods. They contain additives such as artificial sweeteners, salt and saturated fats that can lead to digestive issues. Try adding fiber-rich foods to your diet such as fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. Fiber helps to regulate your digestive tract, promote regular bowel movements and support the good bacteria in your gut. I would love to answer any questions you have! The symptoms of ovarian cancer include gas and bloating, back pain, and constipation. Because these symptoms are common and often related to other issues, this type of cancer is hard to catch early, because people think it's just digestive issues.
