The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that #discrimination on the basis of #sexualorientation and #transgender status violates #TitleVII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

For hearings in civil cases, "[j]udges may use available telphonic and video technology . . . if the judge determines in his or her discretion that the matter merits prompt attention."
