We encourage all members of the community to reach out to your local government officials and ambulance services and show your support. The financial constraints that are faced by our local hero's is a national problem and we should acknowledge the importance of home town ambulance coverage.

Dear Colleagues,
It is with incredible sadness that I inform you of the death of Dr. Eric Davis. Eric was one of the founding members of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester. He was known for his incredible clinical abilities, depth of knowledge and compassion towards his patients. He spent much time training and teaching countless people including many of those who now work at URMC and across our Country. He had a profound impact on all in Emergency Medicine and will be missed by all.

Although we do not post or take sides on personal opinions we felt this one was worth sharing. Our front line workers are essential to this countries healthcare system and should be considered as such.

I am appalled and baffled that home nursing home residents in a single Rochester area nursing home are going to get Covid vaccines Monday when hundreds of FRONT LINE WORKERS still are not vaccinated. How is a nursing home RESIDENT even eligible??
Again, no mention of EMTs or Paramedics getting shots, we may see those in January. This after 10 months of being THE FRONT LINE in the Covid Pandemic.
County Executive Bello and Dr Mendoza, how is this being allowed??
It is unacceptable. Those 300 doses need to go to Front Line Workers.
People, please support the true Healthcare First Responders. We are also tired and worried, grossly under paid and entirely unerappreciated in the State of NY.
Other states made sure EMS workers got the vaccine first. Not NY.
Shameful and very disappointing.
