Can you believe it’s already Fall? It may be time to replace your child's toothbrush or maybe teach them a new healthy habit. How about flossing for Fall? Watch this video with your kids and “fall” in love with flossing. 💚🦷
Sippy cups are a great way to transition your toddler off the bottle. The only time we recommend you give your child anything but water is during mealtimes. If your little one is sipping on liquids containing sugar (like milk or juice) throughout the day, the sugar increases bacteria growth and your child’s risk of cavities.

We bet that fresh breath is important now more than ever since you're wearing a mask and staying safe! We have 4 helpful tips to help you keep your breath fresh and pleasant all day long.
1. Eat your greens! Eating green leafy vegetables, or any water-rich fruits & veggies, is a great way to keep your breath in check because the water in those foods helps with saliva production.
2. Brush or scrape your tongue: Your tongue is a wonderful collector of gunk. So, to keep your breath smelling fresh all day, you’ve got to keep it clean. Be sure to aim for the back of your tongue where most of the particles tend to linger.
3. Carry the right tools: Keep a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss on hand for when you have a delicious garlicky meal.
4. Water is your friend: Pack a water bottle when you leave the house and actively try to drink more water during the day. Use an app or set reminders on your phone. Water is good for you and your breath!

“Until recently, a person’s family doctor or pediatrician recommended that our children see a dentist by age three. Now we have new recommendations - when your child’s first tooth appears or no later than your child’s first birthday, they should see the dentist; basically, age one at the latest.” Check out our #blog “5 Tips for Healthy Little Smiles from a Pediatric Dentist” for more: https://bddy.me/2K695IF
