About

We love good friends, good tunes, and good times. We pour wine, beer, cider, and sake made with a strong point of view and a light hand. Our wines are sustainably grown and made with little to nothing added or taken away-- they are delicious and really express their time and place of origin.

TODAY!!! From noon until they’re gone, @lager.dog brings their crispy, tube-shaped magick to our parking lot patio. Grab some and hang for a beer or three, or take your dogs to go. We just want you to be as stoked as possible on this soon-to-be sunny Saturday!

Don’t fear the ripper! Our buddy @kimlmercado brought her totally awesome @lager.dog to Lorne back in March and it was the last pop up we had at the shop before the shutdown. We are super stoked to welcome her back this Saturday 9/26! We will be out in the lot from noon until sell out. ❤️🤟
THIS SUNDAY ON THE PATIO! It’s officially our favorite season, which also happens to be Apple season, and we are stoked to welcome Sean Turley of @therighteousrusset back to Lorne for the second installment of Cider School! His first class was a runaway crowd fave and we can’t wait to taste through four more delicious ciders with him! Click https://lornewine.com/events/2020/9/27/ciderschool2 for tickets, they’re selling fast!
We had so much fun hanging with Maine Life, talking food, wine, and our love for Biddeford! Be sure to follow them for the best of what’s happening in Maine! MaineLife Media September 23 at 11:00 AM · We stopped by Lorne Wine in Biddeford to pick out the perfect wine to pair with our losbter scampi dinner. They have tons of options and are so friendly and willing to help you find the perfect bottle to fit your taste!
Cant wait to hang with you all this weekend, thanks for your patience during this lean staffing time!
Happy Saturday! Come crush some tasty shellfish and rad wines in the lot with our friends @helmportland from 3pm-sellout! MAXIMUM FUN.
Hey! It’s blowin a gale out there so patio is closed tonight, but the shop is open 4-9. We got some @tributarybrewing beers in today too! Get pumped for the weekend and come see us on Saturday when @helmportland comes through with the oystahs!
We can’t wait for @helmportland to open, and now, we don’t have to! This SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10TH, they will be taking over our patio from 3PM until close! Mark your calendars, oyster lovers.. this is gonna be fun!
As many of you already know, I’m running to represent District 12 in the Maine House. My reasons for running feel personal, but I know they’re widely relatable: almost every day, I wake up worried about our democracy. I want to be actively involved in the fight to strengthen it. I plan to bring transparency and good-faith leadership to Augusta on behalf of Biddeford residents and people across Maine. I’m running so I can connect my neighbors with the right services in times of need. I’m running because I want to help achieve health care for all, advance racial justice and expand civil rights, build affordable communities and reform our tax code, protect workers and advance educational equality, enhance economic opportunity and support small businesses. I've never had political ambitions, but I’ve always wanted to serve my community. When Carson and I opened Lorne, we saw it as a way to contribute by creating good jobs and helping attract others to Biddeford. But with so many of our citizens losing their livelihoods during the pandemic, risking their health to save our lives, and risking their own safety to protest injustice, I want to fight for legislation that honors their commitment to a better world. Thank you for reading— I’d be honored to earn your vote and grateful if you’d follow and share my campaign here on IG @erinformainehouse and on Facebook. Please reach out for yard signs and (fun) volunteer opportunities ramping up this week ❤️

So stoked to finally have Sucette by @yobetts and @carlarzabetts This is easily one of the finest examples of Grenache made anywhere in world, in this case by 2 Americans who live in Amsterdam and make wine in South Australia. The winemaking is low touch, the vines are super old (150+ years!) and the results are insanely delicious. DRINK THIS WITH ENTHUSIASM. ———————————————————Also! Our patio is closed for the season but you can swing by the shop, grab a bottle and a few glasses and go across the street to the midtown court set up by @heartofbiddeford and have fun there! This is a pretty awesome way to try some killer wines outside and at retail prices.
I want to give our excellent friends and customers a heads up that we will closed today November 12th so that we can take our best buddy Roxy to the vet for surgery. She’s ok, it’s just a routine procedure! It’s @erinformainehouse first day in Augusta (yay!) so we don’t have the people power to have the shop open. I apologize for any inconvenience, and we will see you tomorrow. 😘
The stoke level was through the roof this weekend! Because ya’all rule so hard we are knocking 25% off all sparklers today. Keep the party train rolling ✌️ 🍾 🇺🇸
It’s wine club pickup day! Oh, and we have a new president too in case you haven’t heard. 🌈😎 This month we are featuring our fav bottles for the Thanksgiving table but if you want to celebrate tonight these wines will fit the bill! 🇺🇸 🦃 💥
Look, I’m gonna kick this straight. I could hardly be more proud of this woman. Erin stepped up to the plate and put it on the line. My best friend is absolutely rad and she gives a damn about our community. We were crushed by what went down in ‘16, but we are stoked as all hell about 2020 and all the PMA ripping around the USA. It’s in our power to change the country and we truly believe in our collective ability to do so. The fight doesn’t stop today. Let’s fucking go!
I absolutely love Thanksgiving. Gluttony and sloth are typically frowned upon, but on that last Thursday in November, these ancient sins are celebrated and encouraged. I consider myself less than deft when writing about wine 🍷 so I’ll give you Jim Harrison’s take on the stuff: ‘The gods slipped us this gift in prehistory, noting our hardships, our cold and hunger and our battles with wild beasts. “O no, another glacier is headed our way, let’s drink some wine,” one imagines them saying.’ This delicious and idiosyncratic sparkling white is made from Gamay, and is the perfect thing to ease us through this year’s hardships. Drink it with enthusiasm, and know that this glacier, too, will pass. 15% off our featured Thanksgiving wines! 😘🍾 Nicole Chanrion “Brut Effervescence”
We only have a precious few bottles of Patatino 2020, @marthastoumen perennial nouveau, made from California Nero D’Avola! Grab a bottle and join us for a Zoom tasting with @timothydlyons — Martha’s Assistant Winemaker ❤️
Find someone who looks at you the way I look at this bottle of Séléné Beaujolais Primeur 2020 😍 juicy cherry, just-ripe strawberry, and a touch of earth grounds this nouveau. November isn’t complete without it! TODAY AND WEDNESDAY GET 15% OFF our featured Thanksgiving wines 🍷
Amy says speak softly and carry a double mag of Clos de la Roilette Fleurie. NFA.
Thank you to everyone that came out to support small business this weekend, we truly ❤️ you! Today is the last chance to scoop up 15% off everything in the shop so pop through and grab something rad for yourself or a loved one. We also grabbed 1 more case of @marthastoumen patatino so we have a few more spaces for the zoom chat with winemaker @timothydlyons tonight at 6pm!

Place your order at https://swap.minimartapp.com before midnight on 12/18 and pick up your desserts at Lorne on Sunday 12/20 between 2-6pm!
It’s been a rough one, but we’re overwhelmed with gratitude. We couldn’t have done it without you, our neighbors, our regulars, our friends, our suppliers. Raise a glass of something delicious tonight, and hold your loved ones close to your heart (even if they’re far away). Raise a glass to the good times to come— we can’t wait to see you there ❤️
We ❤️ @selectionmassale
I’m at the beach with my dog and a bottle of @broccellars White Zinfandel, but Carson’s at the shop with this wine and many more— stop by and grab a bottle for tonight!
Dry (or in our case dry-ish 😝) January is almost over! Tons of rad wines in the shop right now, here are a few of our favs at the moment. Swing through, we are here till 9! Arnot Roberts Trousseau 🍇 Nathan Kendall Chardonnay 💍 Les Capriades Pet’ Sec ✨ Enderle & Moll Spatburgunder Rose’ ⚡️
Sometimes things pop up that remind you of a life gone by. My old friend @hernandeztombs sent me this earlier today. This era of life seems like it happened both yesterday and 1000 years ago, like something I wasn’t even a part of yet totally consumed by. What a great tour with Pelican/Wolves in the Throne Room. The world seemed wide open. This is also when I met my good friend Laura from Inconnu Wine. Tombs 2nd LP Path of Totality turns 10 this summer.
Problem-Phil saw his shadow. ☁️ Solution-California and Spanish 🌞 🌈 New drop from @josepastorselections @matthiasson_wine in the shop today, more to come later this week!
