All care is under the guidance and supervision of the patient's physician.Registered Nurses / LVN are responsible for teaching the patient and family the basics of health care at home.They provide nursing services with care and coordinate services with other members of the health care team based on the physician's orders. Physical Therapists utilize special treatments to restore body functions, relieve pain, help regain maximum functional independent and instruct the patient and family in the use of assistive devices to aid in rehabilitation. Occupation Therapists assist the patient to restore upper extremity functions and provide instruction to maximize self-care in daily activities.Speech Therapists design a speech therapy program with the patient and family to improve the communication ability of those patients with brain injury, laryngectomy, or stroke. Medical Social Workers provide assistance to the patient and family experiencing changes in their living patters due to illness. They also help patients explore financial alternatives and make community referrals as appropriate.
