Love, Scherle & Bauer has been a fixture on the Pittsburgh accounting landscape for 75 years. The firm's offices have been in The Grant Building since 1939, a cornerstone of the Pittsburgh financial and legal community. Originally founded by Harold Hersperger, John Love joined the firm in 1948. By 1959, it had grown into Love, Wilson & Company. Thomas Love and Joseph Scherle joined the firm in 1966. Carl Bauer joined the firm in 1970. By 1988, the firm had grown into Love, Scherle & Bauer. Upon incorporation in 1996, the firm became "A Professional Corporation", legally and literally.
Essential to the firm's longevity has been it's emphasis on professional and personalized services to it's wide array of clients. Included in these are closely-held businesses in every industry and service, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals across the economic spectrum.
