The Tennessee Supreme Court issued an Order today extending the March 25, 2020, Order which suspended all in person court appearances for out of custody defendants. However, the new Order allows each Judicial District to create a plan that will help to ensure the safety of all those involved in having to attend court. Our Judges for the 15th Judicial District will submit a plan to the Tennessee Supreme Court and once that plan is approved, we will begin to hear criminal court cases for out of custody clients once again. Hopefully we will be back in court by the second or third week of May!
On April 2nd, 2020, Governor Lee issued Executive Order 23 directing all Tennesseans to Stay Home unless engaging in Essential Activities. The purpose of this order is to limit exposure and spread of COVID-19.
