NEWBORN SHOOTS - I like to photography newborns in the first 14 days of life. Typically, they tend to be sleepier and it makes it easier to achieve the positioning/posting. It is recommended to book while you're still pregnant. We normally schedule you within the first ten days or two weeks of your due date. we can always change the date if the baby arrives late, but at least you're assured a time slot. If your baby is older than two weeks, I do not turn anyone away. All babies are different and we can always get beautiful shots, it may just require a bit more work. I prefer to work in a studio for the newborn pictures, rather than traveling to client's homes because I know the lighting is consistent and beautiful in my studio and I am sure you will be thrilled with your images.
DIGITAL PICTURES - In this digital age, many parents ask me about digital packages. I understand parents want the security of knowing they have a digital backup of truly treasured pictures that can never be captured again. As a photographer, it is also important for me t perverse my artwork and control the quality/color, et. that's why I use the best labs. I do offer a complimentary cd with a $1,000 order. the cd includes all the pictures you have purchased. They are the edited pictures, not the proofs. I do that because they are edited and look great. What's more, you have a copy of the purchased print, so you know what it should look like if you choose to have it reprinted. Much of my business is based on word of mouth, so I want to make sure the pictures you have are incredible.
MATERNITY - I normally recommend coming in anytime from 32-36 weeks. I find that works well because your baby bump look great, but you're not in that totally uncomfortable stage yet. Plus--you don't want to book too close to your due date and then miss the chance of getting pictures if you deliver early.
