Los Angeles 2nd in Orkin’s Top 50 Mosquito Cities. This will keep the little buggers from biting my face. Thanks to @drpuentecompean for this funny post.
Before (top) vs After (bottom) The jowls or sagging skin in the lower face create an interrupted jawline curve appearance. Either we lift, remove or begin to conceal them. Here’s an example of how filler can help mute the appearance of jowl sagging. Patients are presented with potentially costly options that are limited by what they can afford. I too weigh cost/benefit options to noticeably improve their look with a strategically frugal approach. VOLUMA XC was used along the anterior jawline. XPresHAn filler was used for the melomental (marionette) area after cannula subcision.
This very shy visitor took a liking to me. The feeling was mutual.
While my local hardware store prepared early for tricks or treats, I paused to study comparative anatomy so-to-speak. #nothingscaresme2020 #scarecrowslife #halloweeneveryday #hardwarestoreanatomy

Frame the pout of the upper lip without the appearance of a swollen white roll! The vermillion border is the “sharp” demarcation between the pink part of the lip and lighter surrounding skin. No “sandbags,” “earthworms,” or “white mustache” above the upper lip here. @ Lumier Medical: Dr. Lum
I had a winning raffle! That never happens. I wonder how many others won this.
This man in his 40s suffered from frequent, recurring headaches. BOTOX was conservatively injected only in the upper crow’s feet region and forehead above the brows. Not only did the treatment help his headaches, but it improved the cosmetic appearance of lines (wrinkles) at rest and with expression. Photos were taken with patient in repose and with animation. Before photos are always on the top, after photos on the bottom. Photos were taken two weeks apart.

I’m sure we all get tokens of gratitude from time-to-time, but I’ve come to appreciate them much more now!
We always try to sponsor the Harry Sutter Memorial Turkey Trot, a popular annual tradition for thousands of families in Torrance. This year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although this is sad, we should also be grateful that we are all taking precautions to reduce the spread of the virus.
A new statewide stay-home order lasting at least three weeks will take effect after 1pm today as the regional Intensive care unit capacity dropped below 15%. In compliance with State rules, we will remain open with restrictions.
In memory of my brother-in-law, “Bombay” Dominador Armamento, Jr. who just lost his life to COVID19 this past Friday.
Sharing is caring with McDonald’s! Thanks to #skylinktv, as a token of appreciation for all the front line staff on the MHG COVID unit, I nominated Gilda Lum to receive this for the medical surgical staff. I also want to dedicate the TV tribute to Gilda’s youngest brother, Dominador Armamento, Jr. who passed away on Friday while on the ICU ventilator.
A routine subtle lips enhancement with filler before Santa comes to town. The lip pillows and "pink show" at the outer sides of the lips were improved.
Thanks to Sky Link TV and McDonald’s, this will air tonight as a dedication to my recently deceased brother-in-law and all the front line workers who risk their lives to combat COVID-19. Eight of my wife’s relatives, many of whom are health care providers, have been seriously affected by COVID. I am often asked by patients if I feel this pandemic is real since they don’t “know anyone personally affected” by this. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Follow the science, and most of all, be considerate, caring and compassionate!

Facial aging goes deeper than wrinkles or folds. The fat pads in the chin area get thinner and flatten. Volumizing this area made the face look less round and improved the jawline contour on either side of the chin. This helped to restore the inverter triangle appearance of youth.
People often fear that cheek filler will make the face look swollen or too fat. In reality, the contouring of the face with volumizing filler often makes the face look more chiseled, youthful and slender. Unlike fat, which is amorphous and globular, filler can be used to more clearly define shape or form. The apple of the cheeks in the after photos (right) looks more appropriate. The lower eyelids also look slightly less wrinkled as well because the cheek support was addressed. You cannot achieve this same quick result with eye creams.
Facial volumization. Cheeks and laugh lines were treated with filler using cannulas to address one of the main reasons we visually age—volume loss! Beyond our peak years of youth, we begin to lose volume every year of life. The next time you focus on your shadows, lines and wrinkles, realize that this is mainly due to volume loss.
Both Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines have EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) by the FDA. DNA is a double helix, whereas RNA is a single strand of nucleic acid bases. During transcription, DNA is the template that forms pre-mRNA with the help of RNA polymerase II. Pre-mRNA is processed to become mature RNA. Within the cytoplasm of a cell, ribosomes attach to the mRNA to make protein specific to the sequencing of that mRNA. The vaccines have mRNA specific to making the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, without the spherical portion of the virus. The body recognizes this protein as foreign, and creates antibodies as an immune response to infection, which affords a level of protection found to be around 95% effective, implying that some still could still get infected with the CoV-2 virus. However, in the clinical trials, they were practically 100% effective in preventing severe disease. To date, nearly 4 million people have received these vaccines thus far.
