Event details
The holiday season is nearly here and what better way to kick it off than with the Waban Improvement Society’s annual Waban Lights event on Sunday, December 1st at 4:45pm. We look forward to Waban’s ever-growing evergreen continuing to be the “Beacon on Beacon,” adding a touch of warmth and brilliance to those winter nights that seem a bit too dark and feel a bit too cold.
Few events bring our community together like Waban Lights. Many of us cherish the opportunity to congregate on Wyman Street, sing a few seasonal tunes with our neighbors led by Waban's own Newton Family Singers, jockey to get our youngsters a second hot chocolate and finally, belt out "10, 9, 8..." in anticipation of the radiance that is synonymous with our village.
The WIS is looking to our Waban Lights supporters to help light the tree again this year. Please consider donating to Waban’s beloved tree lighting and sing-a-long and help keep Waban’s “Beacon on Beacon” lit for another season. Every donation counts and is greatly appreciated!
