We have all been deeply inspired by the power built by the Black Lives Matter movement and the focus on ending police brutality in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.
Today, we launch our Momentum, together for Black lives campaign—a call to challenge racism, fix the broken policing system and protect the Black vote. Now more than ever, we must continue to listen, learn and take action.
In the USA, join us to support the BREATHE Act. This visionary bill will divest our taxpayer dollars from brutal and discriminatory policing and invests in a new public safety vision.
In Canada, demand an end to carding, street checks and racial profiling by police, disproportionately criminalizing Black and Indigenous communities.

Get ready to meet another of our featured partners: Women of Color in Leadership Movement (WCLM)
The Women of Color in Leadership Movement provides opportunities for community members to receive education on how they can help dismantle systems of oppression including racism, sexism and classism in society at large, as well as within our activist communities.
Women of color often face these issues in the workplace, educational institutions and social and human services fields and within their own homes and cultural communities.
Being able to find the support they need to encounter and overcome these obstacles is extremely important to their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. WCLM provides this kind of support to women by engaging the community through educating them and each other on cultural similarities and differences that affect women of color's development.

We’ve all seen a braid. Three strands woven together that create visual depth and a pattern.
It is possible for every hair type to form a braid. However, the level in which a braid can maintain its shape varies greatly from each hair type. There is a uniqueness to how afro-textured hair, specifically, holds braid patterns. Whereas some hair textures require gels, mousse or bands, the afro-textured hair can take to a braided pattern with little aid.
The practice of braiding has a deep cultural significance in African cultures, it is also one of the oldest haircare practices for those with afro-textured hair.
