So at 37 and during a pandemic I decided to get braces!!!
I have never felt this safe (especially these days) than when I am at my dentist’s Michelle Pucek Hedgecock office with Luxe Dental Austin!!
Having lupus and other autoimmune disease, going to the doctor is so scary. Especially with all the germs.
I was so scared at first about the first visit back to the dentist during the pandemic. I mean covid is spread through the mouth lol 😂 And their staff went above and beyond to keep me safe!!! She is the reason why I switched. I knew as a friend she would keep me and my health safe. But, she doesn’t do it just for me (even though I wanted to think it was a friends perk thing 😂) She keeps everyone safe, even her employees are a top priority as well.
But boy was I wrong about being scared. Dentist are equipped for a pandemic, they always have been, more than anyone! 😂Now they are even more prepared! It’s amazing! They even give you alcohol swabs to wipe down your phone if you plan on looking at it in the chair.
4 months of braces and my teeth look fantastic!!!! She also does Invisalign( 6 month smile)
Now is the time for dental work. You have to wear a mask anyways 😂 😷
It is the perfect time to do it!😉
And she specializes in Sleep apnea and sleep disorders. Healthy start for children ( my kids are doing it) I can have her send me more information on it.
Mouth breathing is now linked to children learning disabilities and ADHD and she is on top of her research for this! I have learned so much about even improving tongue placement can help with speech!
She can help correct mouth breathing and can also re-correct Tongue placement so you don’t push teeth forward and for My 4 year old she is helping him strengthen his jaw muscles to improve his speech. 🤯
I can not give her more words of affirmation if I tried!!!

The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a statement yesterday recommending that individuals delay non-emergency dental care due to COVID-19. TDA disagrees with the WHO’s recommendation and is in communication with the American Dental Association (ADA) as it encourages the WHO to change its position.
