Sometimes a furnace will kick off due to a power surge or because of a slight disruption in oil flow to the furnace. 1st step you should take is to hit your reset button.(never more than twice) Hold the button down for 2 seconds then let it go. You should hear your furnace kick on or try to. If you dont hear that it means there is no power going to your furnace then you should check that the emergency shut off switches are in the on position and that your circuit breaker has not been tripped.. If after hitting the reset your furnace kicks on then kicks off in less than 20 minutes call your Oil provider for a service call. If it does stay on for more than 20 minutes you should be all set. Stay warm and enjoy this holiday season with your family and friends!
We hope everyone had a nice summer! As you prepare for this winter we hope that you will give us a call to find out about our 2 years for the price of 1 peace of mind service contract. (203) 387-3638

There is a clickable 11 question checklist that I recommend homeowners take a look at in this article. Goal of any homeowner regarding their furnace and oil tank is safety, longevity and cost effectiveness. Maintaining and monitoring your equipment is a good way to ensure all three.
