Professional hard wax repair of nasty gouge into the wood
For you pros who can see the fill..I could do better, but in this case very acceptable given the time allotted.
Yipee.. More bland IKEA destined to be junk for sustaining our landfills gets me all warm and fuzzy. Now here's a different and responsible way forward by Restoring and Maintaining true quality furniture of the past that is in bountiful supply everywhere in the USA- often at no cost when it is in the family. STOP buying furniture and START collecting it for the long term.

New IKEA cabinets are made from reclaimed wood and recycled bottles
All the more reason to RESTORE true quality furniture of the past. Bad enough the harm done to industry and ultimately US consumers. What is just as alarming and misunderstood is the furniture we import built with US hardwoods is destined for a landfill in terms of how it is constructed. Furniture is a unique consumer good in that building standards and consumer quality assurance is non existent. You may expect new furniture means quality but what you'll be stuck with is the opposite.

It's a good day at the shop unveiling this restored cabinet to our customer. Note the new base Lisa designed and built. The coloration is my thing. Pretty good match if I do say so myself
