I once had a thriving , valuable and important business. I laid off 10 employees because of bail reform and my business now operates at a loss. In spite of that, I'm not quitting or abandoning the profession i have had for 36 1/2 years. I will continue to expose the failures of bail reform in New Mexico and the weak Judges that promote it everyday. I will speak up for the victims of crimes that get no justice, because defendants fail to appear in court and I will speak up for those who have no voice..

Folks, Bail Reform has now spread to the state of new york and it is immediately having the same destructive results that new mexico has been having since july 2017. The new mexico supreme court can fix this mess but has done nothing about it.
Folks, 2018 has been the first full year of " bail reform" in New Mexico. I can tell you first hand, that it has been and is a disaster. I speak with defendants, victims, Attorneys ,Judges and people in general everyday and not one of them think things are going the way Justice Daniels and the Arnold Foundation claims they would go. Blaming bail bond agents for causing the "revolving door" at the jail was clearly wrong. The bail agents are almost extinct now, and the "revolving door" is a bigger problem than ever.
