This custom cabinet was built in our shop to match the existing kitchen cabinets. A previously blank wall becomes a great storage and display area.
It was done in conjunction with a project that removed a wall between the kitchen and dining room along with new flooring.
A passer-by noticed our public art pieces and address obelisk on our office at 1705 Waterloo Road and called to see if it might be possible to design and build something for them that included their address. Wayne did a couple of design renditions for them and they chose what you see in the photos. The height of the piece is about 48 inches. The pattern was accomplished by welding 1/4 inch by 1 inch flat steel bar stock over 9 gauge metal. The numbers are stainless steel which won’t rust. After construction, the piece was sandblasted and then muriatic acid was applied to start the rusting process. Next day—Bingo—instant rust. It is now installed at the entrance to the happy owners driveway! Want a one of a kind art piece for your home or yard? Give us a call.
We are about done with the re-framing and foundation repairs to this home that was hit by a stolen tanker truck earlier this year.
