Maggie’s concept began in 1950 under the ownership of Phil Magenello (Maggie) in Tenleytown, an enclave inside Northwest, Washington, DC. Maggie owned and operated Maggie’s Restaurant until he sold the business and the property to Joe Trilling (Jeff’s father) in 1964. Maggie’s Pizza stayed open for the next 34 years in the Tenleytown location, always with the motto, “Where good friends meet”. Jeff Trilling who decided to utilize his lifetime of restaurant experience as a busboy, waiter, cook, bartender, and caterer under his dad’s tutelage and on his own, has decided that the time has come to re-open this landmark pizzeria and sports bar in Bethesda, MD. Jeff Trilling is following in his father’s footsteps and is going to open a restaurant that serves as a hub for the sports pub fan of all ages. It again will be a local hangout for those fans and friends who wish to cheer on their favorite sports team. A place to get together with their family, friends and colleagues after a game or work, or a place to simply come enjoy an evening out with friends and family.
