Two Stage Heat Pump verses Single Stage
I have been installing 2 stage heat pumps and air conditioners for over 20 years and have seen the benefits.
A single-stage heat pump's compressor only works one level of operation— heating or cooling your home at full blast. A two-stage air conditioner's compressor works at two levels of operations: High for hot summer days (the equivalent of full blast for single-stage ACs) Low for milder days when you don't need as much cooling.
The two-stage air heat pumps: Live longer— Because two-stage air heat pumps run all the time, they turn on and off less often, which reduces wear and tear on the compressor. A longer lifespan would mean the unit has more time to save you money
Saving energy is certainly one of the best reasons to install a two stage heat pump, but another great benefit is that it will make your home more comfortable. As we mentioned above, a two stage heat pump will cool your home more gradually because of its “medium” capacity
