Mansfield Beauty Schools has a history dating back to 1909 at 125 Tremont Street, Boston. The founder, Dr. Katherine Mansfield, was a practicing chiropodist who on a pleasure trip to Paris, France, had been exposed to innovations in hairdressing. Upon her return, she started giving demonstrations and lectures. Thus, the humble beginnings of Mansfield Beauty Schools.
In 1955 our expansion began, with many locations including Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1958, and Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1962. In 1981, Mansfield Beauty Schools, under the ownership and vision of Daniel and Helene Dorian , became independent of the other schools and continue today in that vision.
In order to maintain its position in the forefront of cosmetology education, the policy of Mansfield Beauty Schools remains one of involvement and participation in the Massachusetts Association of Cosmetology Schools, the American Association of Cosmetology Schools, the Massachusetts Financial Aid Association and the National Direct Student Loan Coalition.
