All season our postponed couples dropped in for a picnic on their intended wedding date. With only 8 weeks left of the 2020 wedding season, we can’t wait to bid it farewell and start fighting hard for 2021 to begin in March.

Today was supposed to be our wedding day. I’m a little sad that we couldn’t be saying our I do’s today but there’s nothing our love can’t handle. Can’t wait to marry you, Jairo. I found this one, not far from the barn today. The dragonfly symbolizes wisdom, change, transformation, light and adaptability in life.
A plan that has been three years in the making, came to fruition today. The minor modification to our permit was completed. Our receptions can now go until 11:00pm. This means a few things.
⭐️ Couples can add an hour to their standard timeline to stay longer.
⭐️ Weddings in warmer months are now able to shift to a later timeline in order to avoid an hour of heat.
⭐️ Friday weddings can shift to a later timeline making it possible for the ceremony to start at 5:30, giving guests more time to arrive.
We are also permitted for another 10 years and can execute 30 more events each year. All of this, just in time for a pandemic. 🤷🏻♀️ This must be that “adaptability in life” the dragonfly brings to the party. We look for the things we can be grateful for these days. This is one of them. 🙏🏼
We know it’s fall when the crows come just before sunset to dine on acorns in the reception area. There are no receptions to get in their way this year. Then, they gather on the electrical wires across the road. They grab a drink in the farmer’s reservoir before continuing their route into the valley.
It’s Sunday and autumn. We are going to slow down and enjoy the pumpkins in the neighboring field.
Yeah, I see you 10/10/2020. You were the most popular date of the year, likely the last decade. You are the date wedding vendors booked early, and then turned down for countless others the rest of the year. Now, I kind of hate you for all you could have been for so many. Just three weeks out from their April wedding Robin and Fawzi had to postpone their wedding due to Covid. With guests unable to attend from Texas and Lebanon the couple choose to move forward with their beautiful elopement at @m_gardens in California. What an honor to be able to document and celebrate with them!

Who spends a quiet Sunday creating a wedding for two? We do with much love and joy! Robin and Fawzi had planned a wedding and reception for last April, when it had to be cancelled just three weeks prior. Today was to be their postponement date. With most of the guests needing to fly in, and the desire to start their life together, they chose an elopement. It was beautiful and so personal. All this time has afforded us the chance to do one of our favorite things! Projects! I have a new office, and the old office will be dedicated to the guys. That will double their square feet and improve the air conditioning. This has been a long time coming. It’s time to start anticipating and day dreaming about the 2021 season. Adios and good riddance 2020!
There is something to be said for keeping busy, thus inadvertently avoiding the news. Today we started gutting the old office trailer to make something awesome for the guys to hang out in. Apollo got to dig (and it seems eat) some dirt while I went inside that thing to talk layout. All the plants are doing a happy dance over las week’s rain. Angel’s Trumpet in perfect light. There are 73 days until Spring.
We spent the day detoxing from 2020. Wishing you all the very best in 2021. We can’t wait to see you all again.

I miss this moment. It is nearly 6:00. Behind the scenes, the staff of @commandperformancecatering has just filled the water goblets. We step aside to give the #weddingphotography team a little time to shoot the #reception area and the gorgeous light is low. The #dj steps up to the mic, our #weddingcoordinator pushes open the heavy wood and stained glass doors separating us from the #cocktail area, and the guests begin to flood in to take their seats before the couple’s #grandentrance . It is the moment when a #wedding venue comes alive.
