Well-known, board certified pain management specialist, Dr. Maria Rosen, is the founder of Rosen MD Treatment Centers, with three locations in Garden Grove, Arroyo Grande, and Irvine, California. The newly-opened centers provide expert medicinal cannabinoid treatment for patients with intractable pain, PTSD, dementia, seizures, and other conditions that have not responded to traditional medical approaches.
Dr. Rosen has spent more than four decades helping patients with intractable. During her 20-year tenure on the faculty at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Rosen founded the first UCLA Multidisciplinary Pain Management Center for intractable pain and the first multidisciplinary center for cancer pain in the Johnson Comprehensive Cancer Center, which was one of just three such centers in the country at the time. In addition, Dr. Rosen started the first pain fellowship while at UCLA and has been published and lectured extensively on intractable cancer and non-cancer pain.
Following her two decades in academia, Dr. Rosen entered private practice, opening the first advanced pain center in Bakersfield, CA. In 13 years there, she evaluated over 1,000 patients. After 41 years in medicine, Dr. Rosen retired, only to recently be motivated to return to private practice after attending several symposiums on the effectiveness of medicinal cannabinoids, including the first international Medical Cannabinoid symposium in Tel Aviv.
At her newly-opened Rosen MD Treatment Centers, Dr. Rosen integrates her extensive knowledge of traditional western medicine pain management knowledge with medicinal cannabinoid treatment to help patients with intractable pain that has not be management by other treatments.
