In a recent Netflix-themed attack, scammers are sending a phishing email that claims “your payment did not go through and your account will be suspended in the next 24 hours.” To resolve the issue, you're instructed to click on a link in the email to update your information. If you click the link, you’re taken to a CAPTCHA page. Once you pass the CAPTCHA, you’re redirected to an unrelated webpage that looks like a Netflix login page. Here you’re asked to enter your username and password, your billing address, and your credit card information. Anything entered here is sent directly to the cybercriminals. Remember anyone can create a CAPTCHA webpage, so don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. #SecurityTipTuesday from KnowBe4

Eric Passini is one of the first people to go through First American Bank’s training rotation to become a retail loan officer, and he has been enjoying the opportunity to learn all about the different processes involved. “What I love about loans is you get to have more of an in depth conversation and really get to know the customer more,” he said. “To be able to say I was instrumental in helping them get their dream house is pretty cool.” He prides himself on going the extra mile to help someone. Outside of work, he and his wife run a nonprofit in memory of their daughter; the group helps provide school supplies and gifts to children. “The charity is probably my favorite thing, that’s what I’m passionate about,” Eric said.

He described his team by saying, “We’re kind of the glue that holds all the servers and applications and network together so that things work smoothly. If no one notices, that means we’re doing our jobs well.” Although his duties entail keeping software running, he said, “The best part of my job isn’t really the technology, it’s the people I work with.” He is looking forward to seeing colleagues again in person when it’s safe to go back to the office. He credits them with being able to do his job well. “It’s the people around me that help me be successful and who I also help to be successful in what they do,” Jeremy said.
