Dr. Hofmeister has lived in the Chicago area all his life. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology in 1976 from the U. of Illinois, C/U. Following graduation he studied and traveled in Europe. He entered the U. of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry in August of 1978, graduating as a D.D.S. in the spring of 1982. Following graduation he served four years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps prior to settling in at his Bartlett dental practice in late 1986. He actively pursues continuing education in the field and is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society. His eldest daughter Jamie followed in her dad's footsteps, and has been a dentist in the practice since July 2012Dr. Hofmeister is married with three children: two daughters ages 28 and 22, and a 25 year old son. Dr. Hofmeister has a variety of interests including music, travel, foreign languages and bicycling.
