Thanks to these three young men for reminding us to take a moment to think of those who have served our country, past and present. Hoping everyone has a safe Memorial Day!
Good morning- we hope everyone is safe after these past couple days of severe weather. Like most of you, our Portageville office is without electricity and phone lines. We are still available to assist you in filing a claim or servicing your insurance policies. You can call Missouri Farm Bureau’s toll free number at 800-922-4632 to file a claim, or call the Pemiscot County Farm Bureau office at 573-333-4196 to file a claim. As always, I am available to my customers on my cell, 573-359-4833. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, and please stay safe!
We all remember the destruction of the Joplin tornado on May 22, 2011 and the devastating tornado outbreak last year. The Joplin storm alone caused more than $1 billion in property damage and had an untold impact on families in the area.
For one Missourian, Rita, the tornado was doubly destructive: it ravaged both her new house and the old home she’d shared with her husband of 52 years, who had recently passed away.
Rita needed a hand, and my fellow Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance agent, Mark, was there just like I'm here for you. Read Rita's story:

We are still digitally open! We are following recommendations from the CDC to practice social distancing to keep ourselves and all of our customers safe and healthy. Although our office location may be closed to the public, we will still be available to assist you through phone or email. We can service existing policies or prepare quotes and start new policies. We use a secure document signing program making it easier for you to sign any necessary forms, cutting out the need for a printer and scanner, or person-to-person contact. We can easily make premium payments over the phone using a credit card, debit card or e-check. Give us a call at 573-391-5005 with any questions or concerns you may have and we will be happy to go over them with you and help you in anyway possible during this difficult time.
If you are headed out on your bear hunt in Portageville be sure and go by the office on Main Street. There is a bear there but what could that be next to it? Any guesses?
