Joe Pierro, born and raised in Buffalo, NY, moved to Las Vegas in 1979 to attend the Hotel Program at UNLV. Joe started working at the age of 13 at a pizzeria in Buffalo. Joe has over 40 years of various experience in the hospitality industry. In 2006, Joe’s dream of having his own restaurant became a reality when he and his family opened the Market Grille Café.
Rhonda, originally from Steubenville, Ohio, married Joe in Las Vegas in 1984. Their 2 children, Mia & Joey, along with Joe’s mom, Rose, are a big part of what Market Grille Café is today. Rhonda’s parents were born on the island of Ikaria, Greece. Growing up in an Italian household, Joe was always intrigued with learning how to make the family recipes. With Joe’s love for cooking and Rhonda’s Greek heritage, they have combined family recipes to bring you their authentic as well as unique dishes. Their son Joey, oversees the inventory, ordering & production in both kitchens. Joey ensures that freshness and quality is maintained in the daily preparation of their homemade dishes.
The Market Grille Café puts an accent on the flavors of the Mediterranean, healthy dining options and exceptional guest service. Today they have 2 locations, in Summerlin and Centennial Hills. They have been voted for Best of Las Vegas for Greek & Mediterranean food every year since 2009 as well as awards and recognition for their menu items, at the Bite of Las Vegas.
