NYC doesn’t mess around when it comes to Babka! The sweet, braided bread has “become a part of the culinary language of New York City” according to Gadi Peleg, owner of @breadsbakery (home to the best Babka in the city). Thus, it should come as no surprise that @prueleith ‘s comments regarding NYC’s Babka were met with riled up New Yorkers! Here at Marqii we are keeping our fingers crossed that @prueleith figures it out, pays a visit to @breadsbakery , and experiences a truly magnificent loaf of Babka fresh out of the oven the same way we have! 🤞🤞Read more at the link in our bio! #nyc #babka #nyceats #restaurant

Marqii - Menus Made Easy

Kotatsu: A special heated table common in Japanese households.
Typically, kotatsu are coffee-table height and have a heating element underneath. The tables also have a duvet-like blanket extending from the edges of the table, trapping heat.
Why does this matter?
As temperatures across the country drop, restaurants are looking for ways to continue to provide an outdoor dining experience.
Ellie Henderson, a 41-year-old designer, adapted the traditional Japan kotatsu for use in outdoor dining. Henderson’s design was one of the winners of a Chicago design competition intended on finding possible solutions for the cold weather dilemma faced by restaurants.
Will these tables prove to be a solution to the winterization efforts of cities across the country? Let us know what you think in the comments!
