Board-certified in 2002, obstetrician-gynecologist Mary Kerr, MD, strives to provide women in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area with progressive medical care. Dr. Kerr offers a full range of women’s health services for all stages of life, from adolescent gynecology to routine well-woman care, from contraception management to basic fertility services, from menopause therapies to vaginal rejuvenation with Votiva and skin revitalization with Fractora.
Born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. Kerr entered Princeton University as a National Merit Scholar. At Princeton, she majored in Comparative Literature with a Certificate in Women’s Studies. She was a research scholar at Johns Hopkins University in Medical Genetics with Dr. Victor McKusick. She began her Masters in Epidemiology at Hopkins, completing her Doctorate in Medicine and her Masters in Public Health at Boston University in 1996. For her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
A leader in her field, Dr. Kerr has been honored as one of the top OB/GYNs in America. She’s also been recognized for her work with cord blood stem cell collection and Special Needs Network-LA, an organization that provides resources for low-income families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in the autism spectrum. She has been honored by the March of Dimes “Celebration of Babies” efforts to end premature birth in America, the Thirst Project for her philanthropy and efforts to raise awareness regarding the global water crisis, and JHPAIGO’s efforts in international women’s and families’ health.
In addition to maintaining her private practice in Beverly Hills, Dr. Kerr is a clinical faculty member at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Los Angeles Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the American Medical Women’s Association, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Kerr’s approach to medicine involves devoting time and consideration to each patient as well as a never-ending commitment to women’s health education and research. Outside of work, Dr. Kerr loves spending time with her husband and three sons.
