Today we cut the ribbon at the Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center at 480 Lynnfield Street in Lynn! The Center officially opens tomorrow, August 26.
This event marks the completion of our 10-year plan to improve access to healthcare on the North Shore. Cutting the ribbon to celebrate the opening is NSMC President David J. Roberts. He is joined by Lynn Mayor Tom McGee; Lynn City Councilor Wayne Lozzi; Jason North of Mass General Brigham Urgent Care; Steven Kapfhammer, Marla Velasquez, and Smita Kolli, MD and Irena Danic, MD, of North Shore Physicians Group and NSMC’s Senior Vice President Mary Jo Gagnon. This 41,000-square-foot ‘medical village’ will provide a modern and convenient location for residents of Lynn and surrounding areas to access vital healthcare services in the community. Services in this facility include:
- An expanded North Shore Physicians Group primary and specialty care practice, including more than 15 physicians and specialists.
- Mass General Brigham Urgent Care, open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. It will offer immediate care for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. Walk ins are welcome and patients are encouraged to check in online or by phone for greater convenience.
- Outpatient Behavioral Health services, providing psychiatry and counseling services to local patients.
- Imaging and laboratory services. Patients will have easy access to lab/blood testing, and imaging services such as mammography, ultrasound, bone density and X-ray.

Together, these resources provide the Lynn community with extraordinary care right here on the North Shore.”
North Shore Medical Center is a member of Mass General Brigham, formerly Partners HealthCare, and the name of the building reflects that relationship. The new branding unifies all elements of the healthcare system under a single name that communicates a vision for truly integrated healthcare and excellence.
Today was a great day for the Mass General Brigham system and the entire North Shore region.
