To celebrate the unusual year of 2020, we did what is now usual, had a virtual awards celebration! We welcomed funny costumes and dressing up. We were given scrumptious desserts and drinks. We had a great time celebrating the accomplishments of our agents and staff. We did not slow down in 2020 and finished STRONG! So many thanks to everyone including all the families that support us behind the scenes everyday!
This seemed a fitting post for today....For those of you who know Debbie Dale, Financial Services Professional, MassMutal Idaho, she loves the Capitol and makes a yearly trip with NAIFA to support the financial services industry. Here's a look at what's behind the scenes with Debbie as interviewed by our former intern, @Tanner Strangmeyer from the Work U program at Boise State Career Services:
• What's your favorite part about coming to work?
Besides the energy and camaraderie of my colleagues, I'd say that being able to make a difference in people's lives on a daily basis is my favorite thing. Nothing better than knowing that what we do for a living can, in fact, help our clients sleep at night.
• If you could create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
Man, that's a tough question! I guess it would be something to the effect of, there's a reason the rear-view mirror is much smaller than the windshield. You can't change the past, so simply glance at that rear-view mirror and then look through that big windshield at all the possibilities!
• What is your favorite movie or show?
Right now, we're watching the Queen's Gambit and I love it. This is Us is one of my favorites and shhhh my guilty pleasure is the Real Housewives franchise.
• Who is your biggest role model?
My sister, Kris. After she raised three kids, she went back to college and obtained her nursing degree. Even though she didn't have to, she worked really hard and is now a school nurse in Hampton, VA.
