Mather Vision Group is taking the following measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19:
1) All patients are asked if they have any symptoms associated with the Coronavirus infection, pertinent travel history, or contact with known infected person.
2) We ask that patients come alone to appointments unless an escort is necessary. Upon arrival, we ask patients to call our office line at 765-742-1955 to be checked in. Patients will be escorted directly to an exam room when it is ready. Drivers/escorts are asked to remain in their vehicle and not accompany patient into our office.
3) We ask that all persons entering our office wash their hands and use hand sanitizer prior to entering our office.
4) Staff will keep all doors and handles cleaned regularly, at least once every half an hour.
5) If there is a staff member at the front desk, we ask that all persons remain at least 6 feet away at all times.
6) Magazines and books have been removed from the waiting room temporarily.
7) Gloves and a mask will be worn by all providers and staff members during every exam and interaction in our office. If a patient has their own mask, please wear it for the appointment. If a patient does not have a mask, we will offer one to be worn while in our office (as long as they are available.)
8) The exam tables, chairs, and all equipment will be cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant before and after every patient.
9) As patients exit the exam room, we ask that they wait at the door if there is already someone up at the front desk checking out.
10) We ask that patients picking up glasses call the office upon arrival. The glasses will be set inside the vestibule area by our optical department to be picked up. Patients may return to our office for adjustments once the stay at home directive has been lifted.
11) For patients who currently wear contact lenses and need to order additional boxes, whenever possible, our office will have them shipped directly to the patient's home with no shipping charge. If contacts must be picked up at our office,we ask that patients call the office upon arrival. The contact lenses will be set inside the vestibule area by our staff, and patients may then pick them up.
12) We will not be doing routine adjustments or fixes on glasses currently. Patients may return to our office for adjustments once the stay at home directive has been lifted.
