Winter storms can pose risks. Consider these safety tips to help protect your family and home:
• Use flashlights instead of candles if you lose power to reduce the risk of fire
• Keep space heaters away from flammable materials like curtains and furniture, and never leave them unattended
• Prevent frozen pipes by turning on both the hot and cold faucets to allow a small, continuous drip
• Keep outside stairs and walkways free of snow and ice
Heavy accumulations of snow, ice and rain can lead to water damage and even roof collapse. If buildup occurs, the safest option is to hire a snow removal contractor. If you do the work yourself, use a specially designed roof rake to gently pull snow off the roof from the safety of the ground.
When you need a good neighbor, my team and I are there.
Happy HANUKKAH!!!
