I received today from a young lady a drawing of a tree complete with the tree house and steps going up to the tree house. We had just finished removing the tree down to the TreeHouse. I did not take any pictures of the job so Georgia helped me out. Her and her sisters also made sure we had KitKat bars when we needed them most today. They must have thought we were slowing down and needed a little pick me up sugar fix....LOL From all of us at Matt's Tree Service we Thank You all for your kindness.
Finally got my Stihl 500i fuel injected saw. Taking it out tomorrow to try it out.
Only got about 25% of this removal on video... Bummer

I was told today that I have an excellent crew, and that they all worked together very well. Well YES I already knew that, but it's always nice to hear from the customer. Great job guys, I know this was a big job... :)
This is a public service announcement.
When I put cones out in the street to block it off, it's not for my safety or the safety of my men. It's for your safety, and the safety of your vehicle. Please do not try driving around my cones or my men who are standing in front of you telling you to stop because the next sound you will hear is the crushing sound of your car under the tree that just landed on it..... After all these years it still never ceases to amaze me how many times my guys literally have to jump in front of moving vehicles to get them to stop. Neither cones, or flashing yellow and white lights seem to get their attention.
So I just want to say that we have had our 500i with a 32inch bar for just over a week and this is the best saw Stihl has ever made since the 090... It has always started on the first or second pull and just runs great. Plenty of power and RPMs are super.

All 3 of my main top cutters were out today but Andrew Smith stepped up and filled the position..... We worked together to get the job done. Good job Andy

Matt's Tree Service Pine Removal from the middle of a deck
Finished another 6 jobs today. We have been so busy all summer I hardly have time to post much. Winter is right around the corner and we are working to get as much done as possible before we just can't go any more. The cold is hard on our equipment and it just makes the job tougher than it normally is, but we're still running hard.
Ground is drying up. Getting things done again. Hope this warm weather hangs around for a while

Working on both sides of this house Tim in our 70-36AJ from UP Equip and Austin in our Bil-Jax 5533A
We went to Groton today and setup on 2 Cottonwoods, we were back at our shop at 1:00pm/Tim tackled one using the EZ-Lift 70-36 AJ from UP Equip while Austin attacked the other with our Bil-Jax 55-33A. They were done within about 15 minutes of each other.
Got new coats in today. Our old ones were getting pretty ratty
Well we had to break away from the tree and move snow, but we finally got back to it and got it done. Now we just have to wait for locates and grind the stump next week.
