Congrats to Connie Sommers who just hit the 5-year mark with Maurer Law! How she's been able to put up with my...shall I say..."unique" management style for so long, I just don't know. No matter what, Connie is always there to keep the ship steady and the clients happy. As I frequently say, she's the glue that holds it all together. Will you please do another 5?
We're thrilled to have our new office furniture project now 100% complete. It was all made using reclaimed wood from a North Carolina farmhouse that was about 100 years old. Many of the old-growth trees used to build the farmhouse would have been saplings right around the time America gained its independence.
Mitchell and crew at Refab Wood in Raleigh did an amazing job. They are the go-to source for things like this. What is especially cool is that they also made a museum-like display case for us which tells the full story of the furniture. The case contains original blacksmith nails, chains, and wood pegs used in the construction of the farmhouse.
Making a star appearance in the photo at the desk is my very first employee, Connie, who's coming up on 5 years in August. Thanks to all of my most excellent staff who help us do what we do, which would not be possible without them! They are also the creative brains behind ideas like how to decorate an office!

Hello friends,
We are doing a logo refresh to have a slightly more modern looking logo (mainly by changing the font slightly). However, we are also toying with alternate designs and color combinations.
We did an online design contest and received nearly 300 entries from all over the world and have narrowed it down to a dozen or so finalists. Please click on the link below to vote. Feel free to share the link because the more votes, the better. Thanks in advance!

Here's an article about one of our current cases. This is an example of a perfect storm--one involving many missed opportunities to correct known problems with a particular individual. As a result, our police officer client suffered very serious injuries.
