When COVID strikes, deliveries get complicated!
Many thanks to McAvey Moving Company Inc. who provided the truck and manpower to get 5 apartments worth of furnishings from Hearts to Homes' temporary warehouse to Queens and the Bronx!
What a relief it was for our foster care partner, Catholic Guardian Services, to know that all the home furnishings had been sorted, tagged, and color-coded for each recipient.
When "work from home" means that the office is only open two days a week, logistics can become tricky. Hearts to Homes made the necessary shipping modifications, our volunteers pitched in for the massive sort, and McAvey arrived with the muscle for the move!
We're very appreciative of McAvey for their contribution of pro-bono services to make this move possible and take these essential home furnishings to our young adults in need.

I work for the best company ever and have the best co-workers. As you all know Christian is incredibly proud to be an employee of McAvey Moving Company 😉. To say Christian was shocked and beyond happy to see two of his favorite trucks come up our street to congratulate him on his 2nd grade graduation would be an understatement. Thank you to Bill, Julio and Kevin for taking the time to make his day!

To all of our Real Estate referral partners:
We have been getting a lot of inquiries about storage. We are seeing several customers already having to put their belongings into storage because of deals falling through due to Covid-19.
Our warehouse crew is making room in our warehouse to accommodate the extra storage that we anticipate coming in.
Please call 914-747-1533 for your virtual estimate and get ahead of the game for your upcoming move.
McAvey Moving is still working, staying healthy and prepared to assist you in anyway necessary.
We are McAvey Strong!

McAvey Moving would like to give a big shout out to all of our McAvey Crews! They have been working hard (as usual) these past weeks amid the COVID -19 outbreak. They have stayed calm, clean and healthy doing their best to keep customers relaxed while dealing with these very stressful times.
The office staff has done their best to ensure that we were not a sub category on the essential business list but contacted the State of NY to get Moving Companies listed as it’s own essential service so there would be no confusion and so we could continue to service all of our customers.
Thank you Toni, Bill, Merlin, Al, Fred, Julio, Carlos, John, Keith, Mike, Lambert, Vinny, Connor, Kevin, Jose & Chris for your outstanding work and dedication to our company and our customers.
Each and every one of you are greatly appreciated and we thank you!
Brian McElroy & Eugene McAvey
Here at McAvey Moving we have a lot to be thankful for in this crazy Covid / Pandemic year of 2020.
We would like to thank our movers; the backbone of our company. They have worked tirelessly for the past 8 months in highly stressful situations. They have all stayed healthy and most importantly have kept our customers happy and healthy! Whether in the rain, cold or 95 degrees and blazing heat; they have gone about their job in the most professional way.
Our Drivers, Bill, Merlin, Al, Sean, Connor and Keith. They have logged thousands of miles this year from Maine to Florida to Nebraska and anywhere in between. They have been on time for every move wherever they were going regardless of their back to back hectic drive schedules!
Our Office Manager, Toni. She has worked every day (mostly from home) while raising 2 young boy that are trying to learn remotely. She and her husband even had Covid in April and she still did not miss a day of work!
Our Sales Manager, Bill Fisher. Since May, Bill has been doing in home estimates with his mask and gloves on being very courageous for a young man of 71. Bill has kept himself healthy and everyone around him healthy also!
And to our customer. Thank you for trusting us with your moves. We have done our best to keep you healthy while we are in your homes. Moving is already a very stressful time especially this year so we thank you for allowing us to be your movers!!!
Thank you to our families who have put up with our late hours. The worry that they have about where we have been and who we have had contact with. We appreciate you so so much.
And finally we would like to thank God for all of our health and well being this year.
God Bless you all and have a Happy Thanksgiving
Brian & Eugene
We had to postpone our moves on Thursday due to the snow but our amazing employees were still on hand to clean off the trucks to ensure they would be safe to go out on Friday. Please remember to fully clean off your trucks and cars before driving on the road. Snow and ice can fly off and hit another car causing an accident or breaking your windshield. Always take a little time to clean your cars. Drive safe everyone .
