Epilepsy is very near and dear to our family’s heart. It changed everything the day our daughter was diagnosed with uncontrolled partial complex seizures. Fear and worry controlled us. Her desire to be independent or like everyone else consumed her. Yet, she handled it with toughness and grace that was admirable!
Not all epilepsy can be controlled. Not all seizures are the same. She had a determination and drive to beat this disease and that’s exactly what she did! May of this year was a huge milestone for us...Chelsie is officially seizure free. After long hospital stays at Vanderbilt, many tests and two brain surgeries, she beat the odds! God is so Good!
